Increasing the browser zoom on an image page decreases the actual image height

Description

Let's say we are a first time user. We:

Browse T281634.

Click the Firefox 88 image.

Let's have a bigger look. CTRL+++++
Oops, that makes the image smaller!

OK now click the browser's BACK button... Oops, now we are back on this
bug report.

(Yes, the user is supposed to realize he is actually still on the same page, etc. but that runs against most user experience.)

That's due to max-height: calc(100% - 24px);.
For the records, MediaViewer exposes the same behavior in Firefox 88, e.g. on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangalore#/media/File:UB_City_at_night_.jpg
