Language switch support when searching
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Currently, when searching for an article to translate with Section Translation it is not possible to switch to a different language other than English. This happens on both test wiki (where all languages are expected to be supported) and Bengali Wikipedia (where the target is limited to Bangla).

There are two aspects pending to support:

  • Additional languages from the frequently use by the user should be surfaced as part of the source languages in the tabs.
  • The "..." option should open the language selector to support picking a different source language.

The "..." option should open the language selector to support picking a different source language.

this part is missing from this task

This has also implemented but not yet deployed. Related task: T253303.

Since we have a different task for language selector dialog, I think this can be considered done if all other pieces are there.
