@CDenes_WMF @TSkaff @Pcoombe FYI since this pertains to TY emails and donate wiki. I think this should geolocate and thus work properly in Japan. But if you want us to use this exact url for this email, fr-tech can make the update.

@DStrine Those support pages don't geolocate, and this is about language not country. We need to use that URL for them to get the Japanese page.

This has been mentioned during the proofreading of the Thank You email in Japanese as well as during the user testing feedback gathered by Seilo. That support page did not exist in Japanese before and exists now in Japanese, it was added recently, hence the request to change the URL link in the Thank You email.

This one is specific to the Thank You email for recurring/monthly donations in Japanese, and concerns the first sentence of the first paragraph that looks like this now:
"ウィキペディアを支援するために [amount] の継続ご寄付をしてくださったあなたに心から感謝しています。この場を借りて、より良い世界の実現に向けられたあなたの寛大さと並外れた意欲に感謝いたします"

The first sentence should be changed to "ウィキペディアを支援するために月額 [amount] の定期寄付をしてくださったあなたに心から感謝しています。"

Hi David! It's just an edit to the translation of the current Japanese Thank You email in production, in order to make the translation clearer (Seilo suggestion). Thus why we bundled it within the same phab ticket: as it's two edits to the same TY email (one is the link in the footer; one is the text in the %ifrecurring% of paragraph). Please lmk if you need any additional info or context

It's just an edit to the regular TY email (thank_you.ja.html), but the edit sits within the %ifrecurring% section.

I was willing to pull this into the current sprint when it was just a url change. And when the copy change came in, it was already working it's way through the pipeline. We don't have a lot of time to keep working on this. I'll comment on the other task.

Makes sense & sounds good (we had added it thinking that the first edit had not already been started on, and that it would be efficient to combine-- but since it's too late no worries) Will address it in the other phab task. Thank you!
