Using Firefox and Windows with Swedish language settings visiting lists.wikimedia.org
(not logged in) most of the interface is in English and not translated yet. But dates
are displayed in Swedish using what looks like English date formats.
Viewing recent active or most active discussions in archives like
https://lists.wikimedia.org/hyperkitty/list/wikitech-l@lists.wikimedia.org/
(or other mailing lists) I see dates and time like "mån Maj 24, 6:14 e.m.". This is a
very strange date format in Swedish language
- Month names or abbreviations should be in lowercase "maj" (unless starting a sentence)
- 'Date number' should be before the month name "24 maj"
- It is more common to use a period than a colon to separate hours and minutes, "6.14"
- 12 hour clock is rarely used so "18.14" is better than "6:14 e.m."
Viewing threads like
https://lists.wikimedia.org/hyperkitty/list/wikimedia-l@lists.wikimedia.org/thread/NVP4VKZ2JXDB74ND2AAQQFVBGR4ZN2AE/
the format ("27 Apr 2021 07:13") is better with everything in correct order and using
24 hour clock, but still incorrectly capitalised and with colon instead of period between
hour and minutes.
