Users also have provided that the "wordmark" is https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:WikipustakaBAN.svg

Idk if that is relevant for the configuration.

Awesome!

I see that UniversalLanguageSelector is loaded, but for some reason I don't see the language menu at the top (like on wikisource.org where it says "English" if that's the current language, and you can click it to change languages and change ULS settings). Are ULS webfonts are on by default ("download fonts when needed")? That will be important.

What is the process going to be like for copying Balinese pages from Multilingual Wikisource? Is that the next step?

Also, when ready we'll need to install my user script as a default gadget. I'm not sure what the process is for that. Satdeep told me that one way to let me set this up would be to make me an interface administrator, and then I can add a page for the gadget and include it on the gadget definition page. This gadget is essential for editing palm leaf manuscripts, which will be the majority of the initial sources copied from Multilingual Wikisource.

Great to see this moving forward!

Awesome!

I'm glad you like it!

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer for that. In general, I'd expect it to be same across wikis.

What is the process going to be like for copying Balinese pages from Multilingual Wikisource? Is that the next step?

Yes. One of the new wiki importers will work on that soon (within a couple of days). You'll know the process finished by monitoring the main page -- it will be replaced with something else.

Once the wiki is imported, you'll need to start a discussion about promoting you to an (interface) administrator. That discussion needs to take place regardless of the number of users who are likely to participate, and needs to take place at a page that's likely to be monitored by other users (such as dedicated request for adminship page, village pump, or something similar). Once the discussion runs for at least 7 days, you may then request permissions from a steward at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/SRP, linking the discussion. A steward will then review the discussion and close it, ideally granting permissions to you.

By default, appointments on new wikis, like this one, are temporary, and last for 3 to 12 months. As the wiki grows, adminship will be eventually granted permanently.

Great to see this moving forward!

Urbanecm claimed this task.

Shouldn't this remain open until the import is actually done? https://ban.wikisource.org/wiki/Kaca_Utama has now just "This subdomain is reserved for the creation of a Wikisource in Balinese language"

Shouldn't this remain open until the import is actually done?

No. That's not the job of syadmins to import the data.

Maybe this should be clarified in the "Post install automatic checklist" at the beginning of this task.

No. That's not the job of syadmins to import the data.

Whose job is it, then? I know someone with the requisite skills (i.e. not Balinese community) is supposed to be working on it.

@kamholz : A "New Wiki Importer" will import the data to the new site very soon.

@MF-Warburg as creator of the task and who, if I recall correctly, used to do this within the task: what's is your view on this?

@MF-Warburg should the task remain open or the checklist be updated? Or other task(s) be created?

@MF-Warburg should the task remain open or the checklist be updated? Or other task(s) be created?

Again, No. The ticket being "Create the wiki" is done. Continue discussing in T279233: Re-think post-creation checklist of new wikis

Actually, I'm interested in input from the creator of this task in relation to this specific task. This @MF-Warburg . The request is unrelated to Wikidata development and/or general process review.

Can someone here change the logo to the latest version? Because the old logo doesn't fully appear

Thank you

Hi, please create a separate ticket.
