Graphs appear as blank on the mobile app
Closed, DuplicatePublicBUG REPORT

Description

If you try to view an article that has a graph, in the Android mobile app, the area where the graph should be will appear blank instead.

For example, try the article "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", specifically the "Critical response" section: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Falcon_and_the_Winter_Soldier#Critical_response. This is one example, but it happens on other articles that have graphs like this too.

On the desktop website, the graph here shows properly. But on the mobile app, there is a blank space where the graph should be. I have attached two screenshots showing how it appears on the desktop website and the Android app, respectively.

The template {{Television_Rotten_Tomatoes_scores}} does not seem to get transcluded correctly in the content service response.

Hi any update on this ticket?

I think this bug is introduced by the fact that mobileapps relies on graphoid for graph rendering but graphoid got decommisioned https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T242855. There is no immediate plan to resolve this on the mobileapps level since all the underlying infrastructure is missing. I will try to raise this as an issue to the teams that are affected by this (content transformers, apps).
