compare beta site page, using "raw" extension:
https://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/User:Ori.livneh/Chess
(row legends vertically aligned to top, file legends aligned left)
to
https://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/User:קיפודנחש1
which uses templatestyles to override some CSS to align the legends. not a css wizard myself, i expect there's better way to achieve this.
