Android App 2.7.50363-r-2021-06-21 Feedback

I use dark mode on my Pixel 3A running Android 11. In the past week it seems that no matter dark theme I use in the Wikipedia app--including checking or unchecking the option to use the phone's system default, collapsible text areas like an episode description for a tv series are dimmed out and impossible to read, unless I change either to a light theme or turn off my phone's dark mode.

I didn't have this issue at all before. It could be due to recent Android update. Hopefully this is a known issue that the Wikipedia app developers can address.

From email:

Looking at [[en:The Haunting of Bly Manor]], specifically the Episode list and in the app's Black theme, the table background (from [[Template:Episode list/sublist]]) is dark grey, making the text illegible.

Also, there doesn't seem to be a way of dismissing the "Add to watchlist" prompt. I tried adding and removing the article from my watchlist, I tried tapping and long-pressing the prompt, it just wouldn't go away.

Screenshot below; I'm running app version 2.7.50363-r-2021-06-21 on Android 10.

I'm on a Pixel 3XL. I have my settings in the OS set to use dark mode. Your app doesn't use white text in tv episode descriptions. Can you fix it? Screenshot attached

Do you plan on fixing this issue? Makes the text hard to read

Screenshot article is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_X-Files_(season_5). For me (Pixel 4a, Android 11, app version 2.7.50370-r-2021-08-03) the text appears white when in dark/black theme though. I don't see any recent changes that look related in that article or Module:Episode_table

Just checked it on my device (Pixel 3, Android 11, App 2.7.50370-r-2021-08-03), looks the same.

If feasible though, the rows of the table would need some design optimizations in dark/black mode (e.g. the black on blue header [insufficient contrast ratio] and invertion of the bright background per Android’s theme guidelines).
