FAQ for Mismatch Finder Website
Closed, ResolvedPublic3 Estimated Story Points

Description

As a potential Mismatch Finder reviewer or provider
I want to have a place with basic documentation and FAQs
in order to have a place to refer to for my initial questions

Problem:
We want a dialog component in the intro text that holds the FAQ.

Screenshots/mockups:

As displayed in the screenshots above, the dialog is triggered when the user clicks the quiet button next to the title "About this tool" and it allows the users the scroll through the content. Here is the link to Figma.

Attached to this ticket and in the comment below there is the copy text for the content of the dialog.

Links:
(as mentioned in order in the dialog)

BDD
GIVEN the mismatch finder website start page
WHEN navigating through the content
AND clicking the quiet button to get more information
THEN a dialog opens with answers to basic questions

Acceptance criteria:

  • Dialog with basic FAQ can be opened by clicking the quiet button next to the title "About this tool"

@Mattia_Capozzi_WMDE Do we still go with a dialog here or switch to a full page?

@Mattia_Capozzi_WMDE Do we still go with a dialog here or switch to a full page?

We wanted to discuss it again, mainly because the dialog would be needed in other places (when submitting a review and when reading the upload info).
Although I honestly think it is Product's call, you have my complete okay to go without the dialog.
Actually, I would argue in favor of that for the first iteration, since we can switch to a full-page (instead of building the dialog component) and circumvent a lot of issues.
Plus we'd keep the MVP leaner and the Hike lighter. How does that sound?

Mattia and I discussed it. We are going with the complex dialog component as we need it in other areas as well and can't get around it there. So we wouldn't save much by not using a dialog here.

@Mattia_Capozzi_WMDE Can you please add the copy here?

Indeed, the copy is in the file attached to this comment.

After the Design Review, for this specific task, the whole team decided to use a quiet button to trigger the dialog component in this page of Mismatch Finder instead of using a link.

Fully working and looking great! @Lydia_Pintscher feel free to reopen if you find issues.
So far none have been found.
