Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

With the Design Research team, we want to create a prototype of the Knowledge Gap Index. We are at an exploration phase. We are planning to do the following.

  • The Research team provides Design Research with the materials, the tools, and the context to design the knowledge gap index interface.
  • The Design Research team explores possibilities to visualize and navigate the complexity of the index.
  • Both teams iterate arrive at a common understanding of the goals and stakeholders.

Event Timeline

@marcmiquel could you post updates and docs about the ongoing conversations? Thanks!

Yes! Good idea. Here they go.

Document with the different types of visualizations that are currently used to depict the content gaps:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kQy28GpmVjrFrUBXiYuw3_ZZuOB-qKBnuXA3P9BofSU/edit

It includes the different dimensions we usually visualize along with some examples. It tries to answer how well each viz type works for each situation.

Document with some background information from the past iterations (Diversity Observatory, among others):
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EcytwBPcKqNUZZspzwAJ6SPJmSkmeIqMIytY2IdDFNM/edit

It includes a list of stakeholders, questions we want the website to answer, relevant research papers, and some stakeholders' needs already identified in past projects around content gaps.

Status update:

Resolving this as this collaboration has concluded a while ago. Thank you all!
