The feature is currently (Jul 2021) described as "supporting LTR languages". It should support RTL language as well.

Use case(s) (describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve, and not only a solution):
Hebrew, Arabic, Farsi, etc. Wikipedias.

Sorry, out of date documentation. It supports RTL languages as well. Should be fixed now.
