Translatable page move request: Universal Code of Conduct pages on Meta-Wiki
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I would like some help moving two translatable pages, and I am filing the request as a phab task as per T206464.

  1. On Meta, I am hoping to have Universal Code of Conduct moved to Universal Code of Conduct/Project. This would involve deleting the redirect that is currently at Universal Code of Conduct/Project. I would like the subpages that are not translations to not be moved.
  2. After that, I am hoping to have Universal Code of Conduct/Policy text moved to Universal Code of Conduct.

Some similar past moves are T282344 and T287321. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can clarify anything. Thank you!

Event Timeline

I just fired the second move. Note that a) moving translatable pages never keeps redirects, you need to create them yourself if/as needed b) talk pages were not affected, please move them manually if needed (or let me know to move them).

I'll close this when the second move finishes.

@Urbanecm Would you be able to move the corresponding talk pages as well (and their archives) for the two pages that were moved? Thank you for your help.

(After discussion, the talk pages can be left in place, we can use archive pointers and consolidate talk.)

A user reported the pages are now only 9% translated for some reason, and I’m not sure how we fix that.

I've marked the latest version for translating (see https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&page=Universal+Code+of+Conduct%2FProject). Please check again, maybe there was some kind of caching issue.

Ah, perfect- re-marking for translation seems to have fixed it on the top page too.

Cool, that's great to hear! :)
