Description

List of steps to reproduce (step by step, including full links if applicable):

  • Access article https://pt.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asquenazes via the Wikipedia iPhone app version 6.8.1.
  • Click on "Adicionar título de descrição" (Add article description)
  • Write-up a description and click "Publish description"

What happens?:
Description is not published and the app returns a message:

"The operation couldn't be completed. (WMF.WikidataAPIResult.APIError error 1.)"

What should have happened instead?:
Article description should have been published to the page.

Software version (if not a Wikimedia wiki), browser information, screenshots, other information, etc:

  • The error is intermittent: some pages display the error, some don't.
  • App version: Wikipedia iPhone app 6.8.1. (1815)

Doesn't seem to be the same thing as T233168. IE https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asquenazes is linked to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q34069

Q34069 is protected to autoconfirmed users though. The edit was probably blocked due to that and the error message is unhelpful.

Thank you. It makes sense, another article that I tried to add a description but got an error was https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%ADngua_albanesa which might also be protected.

I believe I'm autoconfirmed on the English Wikipedia but not on the Portuguese Wikipedia.
