Revision history filter date picker: Cannot select highlighted January 1 with mouse after type-ahead on year
Open, Needs TriagePublicBUG REPORT

Description

Go to any page and view the history (for example, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:RoySmith&action=history). Click to open the "Filter revisions" pane. Enter a year in the "To date" box. You should now have a calendar date picker on January of that year. Click the "1". The date picker will close and you'll be left with "No date selected". See attached screen capture:

.

Dates other than Jan 1 seem to work fine.

I'm using Chrome Version 92.0.4515.159 (Official Build) (x86_64) on MacOS

Aklapper renamed this task from Can't pick January 1 from revision history filter date picker to Revision history filter date picker: Cannot select highlighted January 1 with mouse after type-ahead on year.Aug 20 2021, 6:13 AM
Aklapper added a project: OOUI.

For those specific steps, I can confirm with Firefox 91. I think the type-ahead via keyboard and then switching to the mouse pointer trying to select an item already preselected is the issue here. I can pick January 1 when not using the type-ahead first.
