List of steps to reproduce (step by step, including full links if applicable):
- Set up a STV election like the current https://vote.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:SecurePoll/vote/1079
- Open the election as a voter
- Select an option for any of the positions
- Click the dropdown for any other position
The very same dropdown list of options appears. I can select a name twice and submit the form, or make other kinds of invalid selections, and I will then get a warning (pointing me to a selection I need to change).
In my case, I voted the first N and last M positions and of course I forgot which name was left available. It's tedious to then check all the names again to see which ones I've already voted.
What should have happened instead?:
Typically, on such a form, an option I've already used would disappear from other dropdown selectors. That might be confusing if one needs to rearrange votes (say, shift all votes by one position to make space for one selection at the top or bottom), so a less disruptive solution may be to simply grey out (or otherwise mark as "already used") the names which have already been voted.
