I've been following the top pages of Finnish Wikipeda and have been confused to see Carles Puidgemont as one of the top pages from day to day - while our media is not talking about him. For example in July his article was number 8! I studied further and saw that the hits come from automation, see [https://pageviews.toolforge.org/pageviews/?project=fi.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=automated&redirects=0&range=all-time&pages=Carles_Puigdemont]. The same is happening in [https://pageviews.toolforge.org/pageviews/?project=sv.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=automated&redirects=0&range=all-time&pages=Carles_Puigdemont Swedish], [https://pageviews.toolforge.org/pageviews/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=automated&redirects=0&range=all-time&pages=Carles_Puigdemont English], [https://pageviews.toolforge.org/pageviews/?project=es.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=automated&redirects=0&range=all-time&pages=Carles_Puigdemont Spanish], [https://pageviews.toolforge.org/pageviews/?project=de.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=automated&redirects=0&range=all-time&pages=Carles_Puigdemont German] and [https://pageviews.toolforge.org/pageviews/?project=it.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=automated&redirects=0&range=all-time&pages=Carles_Puigdemont Italian] Wikipedia as well. Probably there are more affected languages, maybe all of them?
I reported the case on [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Pageviews_Analysis#Carles_Puidgemont_gets_a_massive_amount_of_hits_on_fi,_en,_sv,_de_Wikipedias] and was asked to bring it here.
Cheers,
