This is being caused by an unnecessary white background on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_comics_character by this template https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Comics_infobox_sec

There was a discussion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Comics_infobox_sec that saw this override retained.
