[[MediaWiki:Mobile-frontend-languages-text/lt]] translation issue
Closed, DeclinedPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Problem with translation of this message:

$1 is available in $2 other {{PLURAL:$2|language|languages}}.

Parameters: $1 - page title, $2 - number of languages

Link: Message in English

What happens?:
The message has been updated and has been added: in $2 other. In English, the word other is used with singular and plural.
E.g.: other language... or other languages...

In Lithuanian the word other in singular and plural are two different words: "kita" and "kitomis"

Event Timeline

And what is the problem? That’s the point of the {{PLURAL:}} construction, isn’t it?

You can just write $1 yra prieinamas $2 {{PLURAL:$2|kita kalba|kitomis kalbomis|kitomis kalbų}}. (or whatever is correct, this is just a wild guess), right? Cf. e.g. the Czech edit.

@Mormegil: Phrases like "And what is the problem?", "just write" and "right?" aren't particularly helpful for things that might not be immediately obvious to everyone, but thanks for the hints and explanation.

@Tomasdd: Does the previous comment help?

No reply; I'm going to decline this per the solution described here.
