IFTTT trigger for article added to category fails
Closed, InvalidPublicBUG REPORT

Description

List of steps to reproduce (step by step, including full links if applicable):

  • I have an IFTTT applet that uses the Wikipedia trigger Article added to category and since September 30 it fails.
  • As seen from the attached file, it worked September 30, 12:25 PM but failed at 4:25 PM (and it has failed 15 times after that too).

What happens?:
IFTTT gives the error message:

Trigger failure message
There was a problem with the trigger.

What should have happened instead?:
The trigger should have fired.

@Ainali: Do you know which active project should be asociated with this task? Thanks in advance!

No I am not sure. But perhaps @Slaporte (who seems to have been involved in setting it up) knows?

I don't think we collect IFTTT issues here, whoever might "own" that IFTTT setup.

Fair. When I filed it I thought it was an official service from the Wikimedia Foundation (that is the impression the page looks on IFTTT gives).

Samwalton9-WMF subscribed.

While there is hashtags functionality with IFTTT, this doesn't seem to be related to that specifically.

It looks like this should be reported at https://github.com/wikimedia/ifttt/issues instead. (Or https://github.com/slaporte/ifttt/issues but @Slaporte should know best where that codebase is actually located - it does not seem to use Wikimedia Phabricator for issue tracking though for reasons I do not know.)
