Description

List of steps to reproduce (step by step, including full links if applicable):

  1. while editing a post on wordpress, add a link to a wikipedia article in a word
  2. select that word and use the gutenburg editing tool to add a wikipedia preview
  3. click the word

What happens?:
the gutenburg preview appears on top of the link editing tool

Can you check what it does with other tools like link and bold or font color to see how the various toolbars interact?

this one might be an issue from WP itself:

  • when I go to the "inline image" option in the dropdown menu, all the editors stay on top of the popup

  • for the text color it also gets all scrambled (color on top of the link, even when the preview is not there)

Unless there's a way within Wordpress to switch to the right popup when multiple formats are active, I don't know if there is a good solution on our side.

This problem exists between the various Gutenberg tools popups and is not specific to out custom tool or plugin.
