[EPIC] Initiate Multilingual Readability Research

Description

Parent task for work on "Initiate Multilingual Readability Research" during FY21-22 (including work done in individual quarters).

Goal: Readability is one facet of the taxonomy of knowledge gaps. Currently, we do not know how to measure readability in Wikimedia Projects. The aim of this project is to assess whether it is feasible to automatically evaluate readability of Wikipedia articles across the many languages covered in Wikimedia projects.

As a summary: we built the first multilingual model to measure readability of Wikipedia articles across more than 100 languages:

One of the follow-up works will focus more on how to improve readability of Wikipedia articles (e.g. this project); this is/will be captured in separate tasks. Therefore closing this one.
