Increase in miss_expired for Parsercache starting on October 21 2021
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Hi,

While checking the Parsercache metrics, I noticed that there has been an increase in the miss_expired responses, starting on October 21 2021. The percentage went from negligible to high single digits. I checked the previous 6 months and this looks like a new thing. Were there any recent changes that could explain this?

Event Timeline

I'm not seeing what you're seeing. Going back over the last few months, the rate is always averaging somewhere around 8%.

Intriguing. I should have taken a screenshot.

I don't see a notable change in October, either:

I do see the metric seems to have no data prior to 19 May 2021, perhaps it was introduced then as new telemetry over existing behaviour or may have been lost prior to that for some reason.

Should this be closed as non-actionable then?

No replies; boldly closing.
