Description

Background

Allow editing the story title on the publishing form and present it as a cover frame in the story viewer.

Introduce a mandatory text field on publish page for story title.

Design details
On the publishing form:
  • By default show a blinking cursor on story title field.
  • Show a label message which disappears once typing starts.
  • Show an error message when users tap on publish Wikistories without providing a title.
  • Enable scrolling inside the title field if users enter a long story title.

  • Use story title from the publish page as a title on story cover page.
  • Truncate story cover page title if it crosses four lines.
  • Use the image of very first story page as a lead image for story cover page.
  • Start showing progress bar from story cover page.

Could we enable the publish button only when the story has a title instead of using an error message?

In my opinion, having a publish button available all the time make it easier for users to understand what to expect from this page.
