455 day purge on Content Translation tool not working
Closed, InvalidPublicBUG REPORT

Description

*Login to English Wikipedia.

What happens?:
"Critical error - This is an ongoing translation by Sunsup.
Please make sure you coordinate with the user who translated the current translation."
The above error is currently preventing a Masters student on the Translation Studies MSc at the University of Edinburgh from translating this article into French Wikipedia. [[ https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utilisateur:Sunsup | User:Sunsup ]]has not been active on Wikipedia since 2016. So the article should, I believe, be purged from their CX tool after 455 days normally.

What should have happened instead?:
The article Proserpine (play) should have been purged from being 'reserved' to their account after 455 days so that others can work on translating the article. Can we force the purge please??

There are plans to avoid with the general limitation where inactive users block others (T86151). Meanwhile a workaround is to copy the contents form the article into a sub-page under your user name and use that for the translation. We'll investigate which may be the issue on this particular case.

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proserpine_(joue) has been published previously, and then deleted. Because the draft has been published, it does not applicable for automatic purging.
