Feature Request: Editing features
Closed, DuplicatePublicFeature

Description

Feature summary (what you would like to be able to do and where):

A real problem with the app is that a few features needed by editors are missing. In particular, there is no way to force a purge of the article after editing, and the article takes a long long time to refresh. So you can't see an edited article, after editing. Also moving history to a sidebar is inconvenient. Perhaps we can individually choose the buttons we want at the bottom, and other buttons remain in the sidebar? Last, many edits require moving text between sections or editing the text as a whole, but there's no button allowing this. Please consider urgently the following 3 enhancements in the android app.

Use case(s) (list the steps that you performed to discover that problem, and describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve. Do not describe only a solution):

  1. A way to purge an article, or get the latest version of it. Also related after editing an article it should reload the latest edited version, auto-purging the Wikipedia cache if needed.
  1. Editors able to choose the buttons on the bottom bar, with say up to 7 slots available and the rest in the sidebar.
  1. A way to edit the entire article text, not just one section. At present it takes multiple edits to move text from one section to another, fix an error that's in multiple sections, or reorder sections.

Benefits (why should this be implemented?):
