Section Translation allows to translate Wikipedia articles across languages. This involves two Wikipedias (source and target). However, our testing instances are using a single-instance configuration where the source and target wikis are the same. This makes it hard to catch issues early, especially related to activities where the user crosses the boundaries of on wiki (entry points, publishing, etc.).

This task proposes to create a wiki farm for testing Section Translation where there are several (4-5) instances representing different languages. Some candidates: English, Bengali, Spanish, Hebrew, and Thai.

• Setup new Section Translation (language-sx) instance with multiwiki environment:
  • Backup old instance configuration
  • Setup new instance (language-sx2)
  • Switch instance back to webproxy https://sx.wmflabs.org
  • Update configuration as close to Production SX setup
  • Setup multiwiki
