T293962 implemented a "hint" within the New Discussion Tool that informs experienced volunteers how they can switch back to the legacy &action=edit&section=new experience.

This task involves the work with disabling the "hint" in order to reduce the number of permutations/versions of the New Discussion Tool and legacy new Add topic/New section experiences we need to maintain.

Timing

Work on this task will happen ~3 months after T275256 is resolved and the New Discussion Tool becomes available as an on-by-default feature at all projects.

Requirements

• Disable the "hint" that T293962 introduced

Testing Instructions

1. Visit any Wikipedia talk page using an account that:
   • A) Has made 500+ cumulative edits to the project you are visiting
   • B) Have never used the New Discussion Tool before
2. Click the Add Topic / New section affordance
3. Verify the New Discussion Tool opens without the hint appearing within it:
