Description

Background

In the course of T296087 and T296087, we explored the concept of a customizable toolbar and decided to keep 5 items in the toolbar.

The task

This task is about ways to further explore the concept of a customizable toolbar. The idea is to be able to drag and drop 0-5 items in the quick actions area (as opposed to having a fixed number of 5 actions).

Questions
  • What happens if users only have 1, 2, 3 or 4 quick actions in the toolbar? Will the icons be left aligned?
  • What if users remove all items from the toolbar?
  • How does the empty state look like?

Hi @schoenbaechler and @JTannerWMF

Here's the APK for "unlock" the full feature, which allows users to have an empty quick action:

There's only one thing that hasn't been finished, which is the empty quick action that should actually hide the bottom toolbar

+1 user:
I'd love the ability to access my tabs from the toolbar
