Purpose: Ranking signals for Wikidata

Brief description: QRank computes ranking signals for Wikidata entities. It’s currently running on Toolforge, but upcoming changes to the QRank pipeline will substantially increase the stored data volume and I/O throughput; Toolforge’s use of NFS might become a problem. On the cloud@ mailing list, I’ve been told that Cloud VPS might be a better fit for this project than Toolforge, so I’d like to give it a try. The thread on the cloud mailing list that suggested Cloud VPS (where the files would be stored on Cinder instead of NFS) is here.

How soon you are hoping this can be fulfilled: It’s not super urgent, but I probably shouldn’t roll out the upcoming version of QRank on Toolforge (where files would be stored on NFS) because of the significantly higher data volume and I/O throughput.
