Recently i was trying to paste a public key into one of the horizon projects similar to the following https://github.com/wikimedia/puppet/blob/production/hieradata/cloud/eqiad1/puppet-diffs/hosts/pcc-db1001.yaml. however after submitting the carriage returns are striped/converted to spaces. I tried using multiple different multi line options from https://yaml-multiline.info/ but had no successes.

I'm not able to reproduce this. I get some interesting quoting/double-spacing when I cut that pcc-db1001.yaml file and paste it into a hiera form but it still seems legit to me (or possibly has excess newlines).
I'm using Firefox, on a Mac. Can you tell me about your setup? I suspect this is somehow related to the browser or the window you're pasting from.
