- Go to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ResearchGate_logo_2015.svg.
- Click on the image, and it should then be reloaded with the image URL https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bb/ResearchGate_logo_2015.svg.
- You may also want to go back to the file page and reload the same file as a raster selecting some of the resolutions at which to load it.
What happens?:
The first time you see the image, you see a distorted mixture of teal and transparency instead of what should otherwise be the logo of ResearchGate. However, after completing step 2, you can see it displayed properly in its raw, vector form. Playing around with step 3 reveals that the bug could be an issue with how the graphic is rasterized.
What should have happened instead?:
The rasterized images should display (nearly) identically to the original, vector form.
Software version (if not a Wikimedia wiki), browser information, screenshots, other information, etc.:
It is not known whether the problem arose as a result of a software bug, or whether it stemmed from my choice to download and then upload to Commons the file using Firefox for Android, in which case the file somehow became faulty during or after the downloading or uploading.
