Choosing a closed wiki in IABot management interface causes endless auth failure loop
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

User report:

When you select in the list "aawiki - Afar Wikipedia" - non-existent Afar Wikipedia, a login and password request occurs, reports an incorrect entry, and so on endlessly. Non-existent sections should be removed from the list of language sections. Kalendar (talk) 10:38, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

As part of my wiki configuration spree I configured InternetArchiveBot to support shywiki, a wiki that appears on the site matrix but is still on Incubator. Possibly as a result of this, when I try to select that wiki from the wiki dropdown in the IABot Management Interface, I am greeted with this error:

An error occurred connecting to your account:
Invalid response from token request

Click here to try to login again!!!

This results in the management interface being unusable, and I need to clear my session cookie in order to proceed.

Event Timeline

Wikis like shywiki will automatically disable and delist from the dropdown due to OAuth being broken, and all broken implementations will now be caught and the wiki delisted. Closed wikis is another story. OAuth functions normally and doesn't deliver any code or message indicating that the wiki is closed, or otherwise blocked off.

Closed wikis can be identified via the SiteMatrix.
