WS Image Uploader: UI mildly confusing, null error message
Open, MediumPublicBUG REPORT

Description

*made [[:Wikisource:Index:Home Life in Tokyo 1910 by Jukichi Inouye.pdf]]
*went to https://ws-image-uploader.toolforge.org/
*filled out form with "Home Life in Tokyo 1910 by Jukichi Inouye.pdf/4" in the "page number" field
*generated description
*hit "upload" button

What happens?:
I had a minor but blocking UI problem with the first image I tried to upload, which is on an unnumbered page (Page:Home Life in Tokyo 1910 by Jukichi Inouye.pdf/4). I got "Error Upload failed". This was fixed when I removed "Home Life in Tokyo 1910 by Jukichi Inouye.pdf/4" from the "page number" field and wrote a descriptive text instead.

In retrospect this was odd user behaviour; I report it for what it's worth.

What should have happened instead?:
A guiding error message. An information pop-up or greytext example for the form field would also have worked.

This is closely related and so I'll add it as a comment here. If the filename is overlong, the image file has already been uploaded, or there are forbidden characters in the filename (including invisible whitespace characters), the upload fails with the same error message ("Error Upload failed"). It can be slow guessing what is wrong.
