Description

This task is to do one last sweep to clear out any remaining current events and legacy edit reverted notification code.

We may add current events code back in later if we implement https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T288877.

Notes for QA:

Just make sure the old "In the news" push notification no longer shows up.
