In a simlar vain to https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T302423 we need to decide how we will deal with core modules. We currently make use of the following core modules

As all the packages we need have already been packaged by debian, my view is we just go with the debian packages and close this ticket down.

As all the packages we need have already been packaged by debian, my view is we just go with the debian packages and close this ticket down.

I agree, using debs for core modules seems like right approach to keeping our Puppet usage inline with upstream.

ack ill resolve this in that case, the task is still around if anyone wants to object they can re-open
