What happens?:

  • The edit link for the section disappears when you select the text

What should have happened instead?:

  • The edit link should still remain visible

Software version (if not a Wikimedia wiki), browser information, screenshots, other information, etc.:

  • Firefox 97.0.1 on Mac OS 12.2.1

Cannot reproduce. Which editor is being used?
Does that also happen in safemode (see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Locating_broken_scripts )?

Removing Editing-team as it's up to teams what they want on their list.

It happens in safe mode in Firefox, but does not happen in Firefox Private mode. It does not happen at all in Safari or Chrome. I'm using Extension:WikiEditor - but this is the [ edit | edit source ] links themselves, before you get to the editor.

Aah - if I disable https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Tools/Wikidata_for_Web then this issue goes away. So I guess I should report this to the plugin developer instead, I guess at https://github.com/fuddl/wd/issues since I'm not sure they are on Phabricator.
