When you go to an archived talk page like this one, the edit link that normally appears next to each section is removed, because you're not normally supposed to edit archived pages except for stuff like correcting lint errors.

However, the new reply button appears on archive pages, creating a much greater risk of inadvertently replying without knowing you're in an archive (as happened in the example). Could it be suppressed on archive pages the same way the section edit link is?
