SVG files using repeated shapes are broken

Description

SVG files using repeated shapes have suddenly (from around the beginning of March) lost those shapes. I have not tried to reproduce this, but https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tic-tac-toe-game-1.svg was fixed, according to User:TheDJ, by changing clones that clone another clone to cloning the original direct. The problem is still visible in https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:International_Morse_Code.svg where the graphics for numerals 3 to 0 are missing or partially missing. This file has been in existence since 2008 and the problem is definitely new. Both these files have been discussed at Wikipedia Village Pump Technical at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Village_pump_(technical)&oldid=1076875709.

Note that the issue is only apparent in the rendered png, not in the original svg when clicked through to it.

This seems to be about PNG thumbnails (Thumbor), not about the SVG file itself. Also removing SVG per its description which is about SVGs in codebases.

Cannot locally reproduce an issue in librsvg 2.52.6 itself.
