We're hosting a Wikipedia editing workshop at a scientific conference on May 15, 1-5pm ET. We are asking participants to create their own Wikipedia account (if they don't have one) prior to the workshop. But just in case people do not do this, we're asking for a temporary lift on the limit for account creation for English Wikipedia. We expect between 20-40 participants.
We're answering the following details from https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mass_account_creation#Requesting_temporary_lift_of_IP_cap :
- The event time frame (start and end) of your event, and the time zone you expressed the hours (local or UTC): May 15, 2022, 1-5 pm ET
- The IPs to allow (you may have to contact the venue organization to learn this information): 139.60.127.237
- The expected number of people to attend the event: 20-40 participants
- The list of wikis you wish to allow account creation on: English Wikipedia
- A link to the Wiki page discussing the event or, if there is no such page, a link to your user page on your primary wiki: https://jasm2022.aquaticsocieties.org/workshops-professional-development/ towards end of webpage ; also I'm helping organize and here is my userpage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jayzlimno
