Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

In order to make a holistic analysis of the impact of the 1lib1ref campaign we hope to collect data based on the following definitions:

Definitions are based on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Analytics/Metric_definitions#Actors

  • New - An editor who made less than 10 edits to a particular Wikimedia project prior to the start date of that year’s 1Lib1Ref.
  • Active - An editor who made an average of more than 5 edits per month to a particular Wikimedia project.
  • Reactivated - An editor who is not New, but had not made more than 5 edits in the 6 months prior to that year’s 1Lib1Ref.
  • Other - An editor who doesn’t fit in one of the above categories; they have made more than 10 edits total, and between 6 and 30 edits in the 6 months prior to 1Lib1Ref starting. Basically, a contributor who doesn’t quite qualify as ‘Active’ by the Analytics definition.

Given the timeline, complexity of the data investigation needed, and our current workload, I am declining this request.

@ifried is this on your radar with the Campaigns team? I'm tagging your team in case it needs to be considered there

Hello @kzimmerman! While I can see why this ticket could be useful to Felix and the Programs team, this specific ticket isn't on my radar & it's not a request that is coming from me. Maybe @fnartey can provide more details by answering the questions provided by Irene in her comment. Thanks!
