Sweden currently processing through Ingenico instead of Adyen
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Evelyn was able to run a Payments QA yesterday and noticed that the Sweden payment she made was going through Ingenico. This is the payments wiki URL that I was directed to after making a donation:

https://payments.wikimedia.org/index.php?title=Special:IngenicoGateway&appeal=JimmyQuote&ffname=cc-vma&recurring=false&payment_method=cc&country=SE&uselang=sv&amount=30&opt_in=1&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=C2122_Email2&utm_source=sp71369378.default%7Edefault%7EJimmyQuote%7Edefault%7Econtrol.cc&utm_key=vw_1440%7Evh_764%7EotherAmt_0%7Etime_7&currency=SEK

Evelyn said this needs to lead to Adyen:

The donations cleared through Ingenico but they should be pointed at Adyen. Regrets if you missed my announcement that Sweden will be run through Adyen this year and it performed over Ingenico in the payments AB test held a couple of weeks ago. Can we redirect the emails to Adyen?

I also notice the payments wiki page is entirely in English despite the followin parameter in the Paymentswiki URL:

uselang=sv

If this can be fixed today, then that's ideal, but if not then no worries about addressing this until Monday. I know today is a WMF holiday so as a result, I've canceled the Monday pretest send so we have some time to address this.

Event Timeline

if someone is able to fix this today, please let me know on Slack as I will be away from the computer. if it's fixed, we can resume with the originally planned pretest on Monday.

Hi @MNoorWMF, I edited the Sweden form on donatewiki to point at Adyen - diff

This will also mean that if you have monthlyconvert=Default in the email links, credit card donors will get pre-payment monthly convert (since afaik we have not turned on post-payments monthly convert for Adyen yet). Let me know if this is okay.

As for the form being in English, are we sure that's not just the usual sticky session issue? It works okay for me

Thanks Peter! Confirming for the team that, while we have vetted, internally, the Adyen/post-payment monthly convert through banners, we haven't run a test at scale yet. We decided to wait until the banner campaign to test at scale.

hi all. yeah I agree with what Peter and Thea have said. The Sweden monthly convert hit a bunch of bugs. It is resoled now but just hasn't been vetted totally yet. I thought this would have been communicated and reflected in asana.

I also agree with Peter that the english part is likely a testing issue.

DStrine lowered the priority of this task from High to Low.Mar 18 2022, 10:28 PM

sorry to keep posting. I see in asana that the emails are supposed to be through ingenico so that all checks out.

Sorry to keep posting. Peter, according to your first post on the task it looks like you changed the default to adyen in donate wiki. It should still be defaulting to ingenico. Can you switch back when you get a chance and update us here and in the email? We've tested that MC work and the Swedish donors we might get in the next few days are probably very few. There is some chance one of them runs into an issue over the weekend.

I've reverted donate wiki to use the default processor (Ingenico in this case)

We need to talk on Monday and get on the same page about what is going on here.

DStrine claimed this task.

Adyen is back on as the default for sweden but MC is not enabled.
