Description

The main page times out, at https://wikiapiary.com.

I tried to load Special:Version, which did load at https://wikiapiary.com/wiki/Special:Version.

The search feature results in a fatal exception of type DBQueryError, at https://wikiapiary.com/w/index.php?search=scriptpath.

The most prominent feedback method I found, was the feedback link in the footer, which is a 404 Not Found at https://wikiapiary.com/wiki/Special:Contact.

The Operators → Code menu link points to https://github.com/thingles/WikiApiary/, which has not been updated in seven years.

Thanks. We're working on rebuilding the servers, but that is going slowly. The feeback should point to here and the WikiApiary mailing list. I should be able to fix those shortly.

For now, the wiki is back up.

Was it fixed or did it regress? I am having exact same symptoms as in the original report.

MarkAHershberger closed this task as Resolved.Mar 31 2022, 2:26 PM

It was fixed and then it popped up again. I will likely have time in the next couple of weeks to upgrade it and get a better allocation of resources.

I can also confirm that it has been the issue regularly for the last week. The main page and some of the extension and skin pages are resulting in a 504.

Appreciate this reply still applies, and no further info is required here, but just a FYI that as of now https://wikiapiary.com/wiki/Main_Page returns a 504 Gateway Time-out again 🙂

Happy to help in any way @MarkAHershberger!

So is this still ongoing? The site's been down again for approaching a full month again by my reckoning.

This also feels like something that should at least be acknowledged on the official Twitter account, even if there isn't a firm date for relaunch yet.

Is there anything we can do to help?

Also, should we maybe get the old WMCS version back up while the new site is not operational?

Is there a database dump available? Archive.org has one, but it's from 2015.

@MarkAHershberger Is there any ETA on when this will be fixed? It appears we are still receiving 500 errors.

DiscantX subscribed.Sep 10 2022, 4:11 PM

Agreed that it would be nice to know if there is an ETA on this.

Wikiapiary had been down for me since yesterday.
The error below is reproducible on all pages I tried.

Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties.
