Our Diarium instructions today say that it exists in both a digital and a physical form and that the two are expected to contain the same contents (with some minor exceptions).
The expectation is therefore that all digital documents be printed out and added to the folders. In reality there is a big backlog when it comes to this component where digital documents have not been added to the physical Diarium since 2020.
In view of the facts that a) most of our documents are now digital to start, b) the digital archive being the more convenient place for finding the documents and c) printing out documents without any intention of using them not being in line with the spirit of our Environmental policy I suggest we revise our stance around the physical Diarium.
A suggestion is that:
- Documents with a physical original be scanned and added to both the digital and physical archives.
- Documents with a digital original are only added to the digital archive.
- The tables on the wiki be modified to make it clear that "Finns i" is only rarely expected to be filled in.
