Project Tag: LOD_Network_WMDE

The LOD Network Programme is critical for realising the Wikidata strategy associated with 3 key Pillars that help us (WMF, WMDE) move forward from a Technology adoption and modernisation perspective with a focus on enhancing and improving our Wikidata platform and usability of data via Wikibases to various 3rd party data users and consumers. WMF has partnered with WMDE (Wikimedia Deutschland) to improve on the WIkidata platform and increase the reach and use of Wikidata as an Ecosystem that provides quality, sound data to 3rd party data consumers who support free knowledge, we (WMF) Structured data will also leverage Data supplied by 3rd parties and be able to import quality data back into our ecosystem from certain 3rd party curators of data. This programme will be key to drive for results from an enablement and technology perspective, all technology related work will be tracked under this project where both WMF, Structured data teams and WMDE (Wikimedia Deutschland ) have interdependencies to deliver work that supports the LOD network Strategy.

  1. Wikidata as a platform - This pillar focuses on the community and the data contained in the Wikidata project.
  2. Wikibase ecosystem—This pillar focuses on the use of the technology underpinning Wikidata and its use by partners outside of WMDE and the WMF.
  3. Wikidata integration into other Wikimedia projects—the final pillar focuses on the re-use and contributions to and from wikidata with Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia

Refer to WikiData and Wikibase links which support with context into the LOD (Linked Open Data) Strategy, this is important for the expansion, enhancement of Wikidata platform, Integrations via new/existing Wikibases via Wikibase software which will increase usage and supply of data from WikiData across the globe, various GLAMs and 3rd Party data suppliers and consumers thus increasing Quality data within the wikidata ecosystem
This Project Tag will support in creating the required Tech tickets to aid in delivering work between both WMF and WMDE teams and will focus on enhancing and improving the current capabilities, adoption landscape for WIkidata and Wikibase.

Thanks for the edits! I'm still wondering who is "us" and "we", and what's your relation to WMDE and WMF teams (to make sure that this project tag is wanted by the WMDE and WMF people involved)? Could you please clarify?
Who exactly plans to use this project tag apart from you yourself?

Hi @Aklapper it will be the likes of @SWakiyama (Product Director: WMF) @AOdit_WMF (Programme Manager) and all related Subject matter Experts- Product Managers, Engineers, who work on WMF Structured data, extensions that integrate and support in the Wikidata landscape with the likes of our partner team WMDE (WIkimedia Deutchland) their Product Managers, Engineers, Programme Manager will also have visibility into Tickets with this tag as it will support in dependency management where we have work that needs to be delivered between our two teams but need to closely track these dependency tickets through to enablement in Production.
