Kivra lists the types of companies (företagsform) that can get a Business Mailbox. Ideel förening is not listed (but e.g. Ekonomisk förening is), so I've written to them to check if that is a hard blocker.

Ok. So Kivra relies on using Bolagsverket to determine who is Firmatecknare. Since Ideell förening is not handled by them it becomes a hard blocker.

It is technically possible for us to register with Bolagsverket (since some of our activities are classified as Näringsverksamhet). It would effectively involve a setup fee (1500 kr) and a minor annual fee (800 kr) to update changes to the board.

Essentially since Skatteverket doesn't allow one to tick the box "digital mailbox" as an Ideell förening Kivra doesn't support it. While I didn't get a direct reply as to whether it would be possible if we were registered with Bolagsverket the implication was that it would still be against their rules.

Last info Kivra got from Skatteverket was that it would be possible in the future.

I'm changing the status to declined and we can re-visit the issue in the future when we see an announcement about it.
