GSoC 2022 (Proposal): Campaigns Retention Metrics Dashboard

The project will help in realizing the metrics related to users retention for various campaign related and after the campaign activities. Rather than policing or monitoring, it will majorly be used for impact the campaign derives on the participants as a whole. The project will be of dashboard type so it will be interactive and scalable way of viewing the reports.


The tasks will mainly be agile methodology based.

  1. Reviewing the current scope and defining the timeline, documentation analysis and target scope for the project
  2. Going through the tools, data and sources available to reach for field engagement and training.
  3. Refining the data for better visibility.
  4. Designing the product on sample data
  5. Bringing data and the product together for the upstream engagement
  6. Configuration or build or system testing for a working product
  7. Prep for go-live and draft for final documentation


1-15 June: Preparation and getting familiar with the resources
16-30 June and 1-15 July: Coding
16-31 July and 1 Aug-15 Aug: Coding, Deploying, Testing
16-30 Aug: Documentation and finalizing

About Me

I have completed my Graduation in B.Tech in year 2020 and currently working at a corporate. If I am chosen as a contributor for the above mentioned project, it may happen that the timings which I will devote to the project might shift such that the team and the work doesn't get affected or gets stuck at any point.

Did you follow all the application process steps while filling out the proposal And, have you also submitted it on Google's program website in the recommended format? If so, please move the proposal here on the Phabricator workboard to the "Proposals Submitted' column by simply dragging it from the "Backlog" column. Let us know if you have any questions.

@LKalia​ We are sorry to say that we could not allocate a slot for you this time. Please do not consider the rejection to be an assessment of your proposal. We received over 75 quality applications, and we could only accept 10 students. We were not able to give all applicants a slot that would have deserved one, and these were some very tough decisions to make. Please know that you are still a valued member of our community and we by no means want to exclude you. Many students who we did not accept in 2021 have become Wikimedia maintainers, contractors and even GSoC students and mentors this year!

Your ideas and contributions to our projects are still welcome! As a next step, you could consider finishing up any pending pull requests or inform us that someone has to take them over. Here is the recommended place for you to get started as a newcomer:
