List of steps to reproduce (step by step, including full links if applicable):
- On the Wikipedia iOS app, navigate to an article that contains a link which redirects. For example, Bedburg station.
- Tap on the link that redirects, for example [[Erft-Bahn]], which redirects to Erft Railway.
- View the table of contents by tapping on the list icon at the bottom of the screen.
What happens?:
The first item in the table of contents is the name of the link in the original article, for example, "Erft-Bahn", shown in screenshot.
What should have happened instead?:
The first item in the table of contents should have been the name of the article, for example, "Erft Railway".
Additional Info
For piped links, the table of contents takes the name of target link after the redirect, for example in the article for Wookieepedia, tapping "Clone Wars", piped to "Clone Wars (cartoon)", shows Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003 TV series) with "Clone Wars (cartoon)" in the table of contents.
For a link to a section of an article, the table of contents has the link target still replace the title of the article, leaving the name of the linked section the same, for example also in the article for Wookieepedia, tapping "Wokepedia" links to Andrew Orlowski#Criticism of English Wikipedia, and replaces "Andrew Orlowski" with "Wokepedia" in the table of contents.
This issue is mentioned at the start of https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T283846 but only mentions the section linking issue, and is not the focus of the issue.
