In portrait orientation the progress bar control is hard to use because it gets crowded out by the other controls. There are two reasons for this. Mostly there are already a lot of controls, we could choose another layout perhaps. But secondly, I think I didn't modify the control layout cut offs when we increased the font size of the controls.
