Request Type: project support request
Related OKRs: Two ORES models for Wikidata (Item Quality and Edit Quality) are replaced with new systems. We are able to contribute training data to these models and re-train them. The direction for ML development in the next years are to be able to plan the next steps.

Request Title: WMDE - Machine Learning (ORES)

  • Request Description: The Wikidata development team supports the WMF Machine Learning team with input about the machine learning requirements for Wikidata with an emphasis on replacing the 2 current ORES models used for Wikidata (Item Quality and Edit Quality) with Lift Wing alternatives so they continue to be useful for Wikidata's editors and re-users.

Proposed Key result for WMF teams: The ORES models for Wikidata (Item Quality and Edit Quality) have been replaced with Lift Wing alternatives that take into account Wikidata's special features for its content and edits.

Hey @DAbad, as part of this proposal, I'm in conversations with @Lydia_Pintscher and @calbon to develop new models for Wikidata that works directly on Liftwing.

It would great to know in detail the requirements for the models mentioned in this ticket, and also whether you have labeled that we can use to train the algorithms.
