- https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_become_a_MediaWiki_hacker/Extension_Writing_Tutorial looks horrible.
- https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Best_practices_for_extensions likely needs higher exposure as it's a development guideline.
- https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Developing_extensions links to the BoilerPlate extension at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Extension:BoilerPlate (see also T97105: BoilerPlate extension should show latest coding practices). It also links to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Extension:Examples . When to look at which one? In which order should I use the code of these two extensions?
- There is also @Mooeypoo's https://mwstew.toolforge.org/ which is currently not mentioned but probably should be, but it's unclear how this plays together with the aforementioned two (what does it cover? what may it duplicate?)
- I'm also tempted to remove the cookiecutter-mediawiki-extension item under "See Also" as it has not been updated for six years (and things like OOUI etc happened in the meantime).
